The aim of Teleco Games is to promote telecommunications, scientific culture, technology and innovation among the students of ESO, Baccalaureate and Intermediate and Higher Level Vocational Training Cyclesas well as sparking interest in engineering and research.
This is an initiative organized by the Official College of Telecommunications Technical Engineers (COITT) and the Spanish Association of Graduates & Telecommunications Technical Engineers (AEGITT), Together with Conference of Directors of Schools with Engineering Degrees in the Field of Telecommunications (CODIGAT), which brings together about twenty university schools that teach the telecommunications degree.
In this fourth edition of the Teleco Games, in which Last year, more than 1.600 students and 26 universities participated. From all over the country, some new features have been included. The main one is that, unlike previous years in which teams had to focus their projects on a specific SDG previously assigned, in this edition the participants they will be able to freely choose any SDG or a combination thereof, provided that the proposal is linked to the goals of the 2030 AgendaThis change opens the door to a greater diversity of solutions and, at the same time, allows students and teachers to refine prototypes from previous years, thus fostering continuous improvement, progressive innovation and a more efficient use of resources and time invested by educational centers.
The other new feature is that the submitted projects must consider cybersecurity measuresThis applies either to the development process (using strong passwords, backups, software updates, etc.) or to the solution's design itself (password protection, data encryption, etc.). This new feature aims to help students internalize the importance of cybersecurity in their academic and professional life.
This year Teleco Games is also launching a National prize draw for educational centers: 10 ESP32 micro:STEAMakers technology kits.

The Teleco Games Olympics were created four years ago to promote knowledge of telecommunications and how they help us in our daily lives, as well as to raise awareness and appreciation of the contribution of science and technology to our lives. The initiative is structured around projects aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, in which students test their creativity and ability to solve societal challenges each year.
