On October 23, 2025, the 3rd Sustainability Conference for the Degree Programs of the School of Experimental Sciences and Technology (ESCET) will be held on the Móstoles Campus. The event, which will take place in the Aula Magna of the Aulario II (Lecture Hall), will bring together experts, students, and professionals to discuss the role of sustainability in education, employment, and ESCET's degree programs.
The format, now in its third edition, was a success in previous years due to its interesting presentations and roundtable discussions, but especially due to its "pechakucha" format, in which groups representing all ESCET degree levels compete by presenting on sustainability topics related to their degrees.
In this 2nd Degree Competition for Sustainability, held in a Pechakucha format (20 slides x 20 seconds), the different teams presented challenges related to the SDGs and proposed solutions using the tools studied in their different degrees. In this final phase, 14 teams will compete for the podium. This time, the prizes have been increased, with the first prize being 500 euros, the second 300 euros, and the third 200 euros.
Student participation in this competition is always extensive, as in addition to a jury composed of university members, a popular vote has also been established, in which students can vote for their classmates to help them win the title.
