The general objective of his final degree project was to get a land mobile robot to automatically explore its environment efficiently and create a map in the shortest possible time. In addition, the robot had to be able to locate itself on the created map and navigate autonomously from point A to point B, avoiding static and dynamic obstacles and without the need for a human operator.
Although his father received the award, since he is in Paris doing a Master's degree, Guillermo declared that “Getting here has been a true honor that I did not expect when I started the TFG. I have to say that it has not been easy; many hours of work, effort and sacrifice. In the end, from my point of view, perseverance is a fundamental factor to achieve success."
Regarding the development of his project, he recalls that "One of the moments of greatest satisfaction and also of greatest nervousness was going from working from a simulation environment to a real environment. Without a doubt, the joy when seeing that everything worked correctly was immense" . He also appreciates all the support received: “Getting this far has been possible thanks to my project manager, Diego Martín Martín. It is an honor as a student to have been able to learn so much all these months of work thanks to him. His commitment from minute one has been unmatched”
