The event was opened by the Vice-rector for Research, Innovation and Transfer, Mr. Fernando García Muiña, who highlighted the importance of collaboration between the university and the business and public sector in the training of graduates, thus ensuring their professional success. He also congratulated the organization of the event, led by Ms. Pilar Martinez, Coordinator of Academic Planning and Quality of Degrees in the Science branch of ESCET.
In turn, the Director of ESCET, Mr. Alejandro Ureña Fernández, highlighted the excellent employability data of graduates in engineering and science degrees, as well as the constant search for talent by companies that trust the school as a source of highly qualified professionals.
The Forum took place in the Aulario II, where 15 exhibitors They set up their information stands in the lobby, attracting a large number of students interested in learning about job opportunities and professional development firsthand. The day included a varied program of 10 workshops, dynamics and hackathons, designed to bring students closer to the business world. From how to stand out in a selection process with an attractive CV to exploring the sectors with the highest job demand, participants were able to immerse themselves in the job search in a practical and enriching way.
In total, 20 companies and institutions participated in this edition of the Forum, offering attendees a broad view of the labour market. The response from students was remarkable, especially during the morning activities, where not only final year students, but also first and second year students, showed great interest.
To encourage participation, Classes for all ESCET courses and degrees were cancelled during the day, allowing the event to become a genuine learning and networking experience.
