The ETSII excels at AdaByron Madrid and secures a place in the national final

URJC once again demonstrated its prowess in competitive programming at AdaByron Madrid: the Hap.py team won in the second year, nearly achieving overall victory and securing their place in the national final, while Alt+F4 took the bronze in the first year. This latest success confirms the impact of almost a decade of work and training at the ETSII (School of Industrial Engineering).

URJC shines at AdaByron Madrid and secures a place in the national final

King Juan Carlos University once again excelled in competitive programming during the celebration of AdaByron Madrid, played yesterday, where a total of 7 equipment, formed by 21 students from the ETSIIThey represented the university.

Among the most outstanding results, the performance of the team stands out. Hap.py, which achieved the victory in the second year category and also obtained the second place in the overall standingstied in problems solved with teams from the third and fourth years. This result allows the team to qualify for the AdaByron 2026 National Final.

Hap.py's success confirms the progression of a team that already shone last year by achieving the victory in the first categoryIn this edition, the team has consisted of:

  • Ivan Coello Rivera
  • Nihad Rbaa Hmini

The participation of the URJC also yielded another outstanding result with the performance of the team Alt + F4, who got the bronze medal in the first categoryIts members were:

  • Christian Perea Reina
  • Manuel Tomas Rey Carbonell
  • Ivan Gomez Molano

The URJC's representation in the competition also included the participation of Professor Lucas Martín Garcíawho served as a judge on the jury for the competition. Furthermore, Raúl Fauste Jiménez accompanied the students throughout the day.

These achievements reflect sustained effort over time. For almost a decade, the ETSII has been altruistically promoting a competitive programming contest that serves as preparation and a training ground for this type of competition, bearing fruit year after year with increasingly outstanding results.
