The Higher Technical School of Computer Engineering of the Rey Juan Carlos University joins as institutional partner of the Spanish Scientific Society for Computing (SCIE), thus reinforcing its commitment to the development, promotion and visibility of Informatics as a scientific and technological discipline.
The SCIE is the leading scientific society in the field of Computer Science in Spain. Its aims include contributing to the country's scientific and technological development in this area, acting as a qualified representative to civil society and public authorities, and supporting research, dissemination, and talent recognition initiatives in Computer Science.
The incorporation of the ETSII as an institutional partner represents an opportunity to strengthen collaboration with the academic and professional computer science community, participate in scientific forums, and contribute to initiatives that highlight the role of this discipline in digital transformation, innovation, and social progress. The SCIE (School of Computer Science and Engineering) offers this status to schools, faculties, research institutes, and other entities that wish to support its objectives.
With this addition, the ETSII joins the collective effort to strengthen research, training, knowledge transfer and dissemination of Computer Science, a key area to face the current and future challenges of academia, industry and society.
