Rey Juan Carlos University wins second prize in the Young Filmmakers category at the SHOT Advertising Awards

La URJC has won second prize in the Young Filmmakers category of the SHOT Awards for Advertising in CinemaThe award has been given to a team of Audiovisual Communication students for a project developed under the mentorship of Professor Alberto Fernández Hoya. This recognition, achieved in a nationwide competition with the participation of public and private universities throughout Spain, reinforces URJC's position as a leader in training emerging talent in the audiovisual sector.

 

URJC has won second prize in the Young Filmmakers category of the SHOT Awards for advertising in film, organized by 014 and the newspaper Publicidad CD, consolidating its position as a benchmark in the training of new talents in the audiovisual sector.

This category featured projects from public and private universities across Spain, in a highly competitive environment that valued creativity, narrative innovation, and the technical quality of the proposals. The URJC project won second prize, standing out among numerous entries.

The award-winning team consists of Laura Méndez Mármol, Paula Pereira Martín, and Valerie Sofía Bohórquez Osorio, students of the Audiovisual Communication degree program. The project was developed under the mentorship of Professor Alberto Fernández Hoya, a member of the CINEDANÍA Teaching Innovation Group, whose academic support proved fundamental throughout the process.

This recognition reaffirms the commitment of Rey Juan Carlos University to an education geared towards excellence, which combines theory and practice, as well as its commitment to promoting young talent in the field of audiovisual production.
