“Living with ALS: clinical and human perspectives”

Posted by Francisco G. Esquer

On October 22nd, as part of the 1st #TodosSomosFCS Conference, researchers Daniel Borrego and Laura Expósito (GenELA, 12 de Octubre University Hospital) gave a master lecture on the biology and most cutting-edge treatments of the pathology.

Miguel Ángel Camacho, an ALS patient, gave us the opportunity to learn about this disease from a human perspective. This seminar was made possible thanks to the researchers at the Genetic Diagnostic and ALS Research Laboratory (GenELA) of the 12 de Octubre University Hospital (Dr. Alberto García Redondo); Bikers for ALS (Israel González); and the Animal-Assisted Intervention Office of Rey Juan Carlos University. The seminar was organized by Dr. Alba González-Escalada (coordinator of the Medicine Degree at Rey Juan Carlos University) and Dr. Lorena Ortega Moreno (Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Nutrition at Rey Juan Carlos University).
