La chair, directed by the FCS professor Nuria MaximusIt is consolidated as a unique academic initiative at the national level dedicated to the scientific, ethical and applied study of interspecies interactions, with a prominent impact in the social, educational and health fields. 

The Institutional Chair of Research on Animals and Society at URJC celebrates its tenth anniversary

To coincide with this anniversary, one of the most emblematic projects promoted by the Chair has received new national recognition. The evaluation committee of the Fifth Edition of the Awards of the Chair of Humanization of Healthcare, promoted by the International University of Valencia (VIU), the ASISA Foundation and the HUCI Project, has granted the Award for Best Applied Intervention in the Healthcare Context to work“Colorful Footprints: Dog-Assisted Interventions in the Pediatric ICU of the 12 de Octubre Hospital in Madrid”.
