Nuria She is a professor at the FCS and director of the Chair of Animals and Society at the Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) "Animal-assisted interventions (AAIs) facilitate a faster and more lasting learning process, as they provide emotionally intense and positive experiences, which are the most effectively stored in the brain, both in adults and children,” she states. “In the therapeutic field, animals generate adherence and motivation, two of the most powerful tools in any therapy.”
