Compassion fatigue. Solidarity Web Seminar

Posted by McG

The Institutional Chair of Animal Research and Society invites us to this solidarity webinar on May 5

La compassion fatigue constitutes a form of physical exhaustion and emotional exhaustion that arises when the caregiver feels frustrated at not being able to alleviate the suffering of the individuals for whom they care, with varied symptoms that may include depression, anxiety, sleep disturbance, social withdrawal, difficulty concentrating, frequent flashbacks of traumatic events, and decreased interest in activities. On the occasion of this problem, it is proposed to hold a seminar with the aim of educating and training in the field of animal care to prevent and treat compassion fatigue.

The inscription in the webinar on Compassion Fatigue that will be given by Dr. Calvo, anthropozoologist researcher of the Animals and Society Chair, has a cost of $9

The proceeds will be used to expand the number of schools where 'Emociones con Patas' is taught, the pioneering animal-assisted intervention program that introduces Animal Empathy as part of the academic curriculum of primary school students, anticipating its implementation by Lomloe.”

A new opportunity to learn even more about what animals can help us in our day to day.
