AMÁS Foundation is an entity dedicated to defending the rights of people with intellectual disabilities in all areas, with the aim of improving their quality of life and that of their families. In addition to offering therapies and assistance directly, it has a network of health and socio-health centers with which it collaborates and of which the University Clinic of the Rey Juan Carlos University is now a part.

It should be noted that the University Clinic has professionals specialized in caring for people with intellectual disabilities in all their specialties, who are offered a global approach in permanent collaboration with their families or associations.

On the other hand, to facilitate the access of the members of Fundación AMÁS to the services they need, the University Clinic places at their disposal all its service portfolio under advantageous conditions.

For Diego Gómez-Costa, director of the University Clinic, "this agreement formalizes a relationship of mutual collaboration for many years for the benefit of the health of people with intellectual disabilities in the area."
