The SEBBM is the annual meeting of the Spanish Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

The 43rd edition of the SEBBM It will be held on July 19-22 in an online format. 

In order to reward the work of its youngest members, the SEBBM annually announces its research prizes. Marina Martin-Taboada, researcher at LIPOBETA high-performance group, has been awarded second prize in the Margarita Lorenzo Awards for the work titled: 

“Understanding the role of circulating levels of adipose tissue-derived molecules in the renal dysfunction of obese patients”

The aforementioned award was created in memory of Dr. Margarita Lorenzo, whose work of international prestige in the field of insulin metabolism and signaling is considered an example to be followed by new generations of Spaniards. biochemists and molecular biologists. The award recognizes the best papers presented in the thematic field of "Diabetes, obesity and metabolic regulation" at the SEBBM Congress by young members.
