The Ministry of Science and Innovation grants María de Guzmán aid to the BURJCDigital improvement project to enhance scientific impact
The Ministry of Science and Innovation, through the María de Guzmán Call for the Promotion of Excellence in Scientific Research, has granted aid to the project to improve the institutional repository of the URJC, BURJCDigital. This project is aligned with the university's strategic objective of increasing scientific productivity and enhancing the impact achieved by the different areas of knowledge existing in the institution.
The project focuses on updating the BURJCDigital repository to increase its technological capabilities, support open science policies and align with national and European open science strategies. This involves transitioning to DSpace 7 software, improving interoperability with platforms such as the European Commission's ORE, and supporting researchers in open access requirements. The project also includes the integration of various APIs, improving author identification and compliance with international standards.
The aid will finance 85% of the total cost of the project, which will be led by a multidisciplinary team from the Library and IT area, focused on technical support, collection management and communication.
This project is crucial for the continuity of the objectives and achievements since the launch of BURJCDigital and the promotion of open science.
