Tenders

The Vice-Rectorate for Social Responsibility, Culture, and Sport, through its Cultural Service, annually promotes Cultural Promotion Competitions to foster artistic development within the university community and encourage creative activities. Each competition has a specific theme and is open to the entire Rey Juan Carlos University community: students, alumni, administrative and service staff, teaching and research staff, and research and development staff.

Three prizes are established: a first prize of €500; a second prize of €300; a third prize of €200;

Audiovisual Pieces Contest

Rey Juan Carlos University Audiovisual Pieces Competition 2025, 2nd edition, “From story to screen”.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, three stories were awarded prizes in the 18th edition of the Rey Juan Carlos University Short Story Competition, under the title "Non-Fiction Story." In this second edition of the URJC Audiovisual Competition, we invite participants to transform one of these stories into an audiovisual piece or to use it as a source of inspiration for their short film.

In this second edition of the URJC Essay Contest, we invite the entire university community to reflect on the intersection between artificial intelligence (AI) and climate change, two phenomena that are transforming the present and will define the future.

Rey Juan Carlos University Visual Arts Competition 2025, 6th edition, “The FUTURE OF THE PLANET”.

Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time, a phenomenon that is transforming landscapes, ecosystems, and life on the planet. In this sixth edition of the URJC Visual Arts Competition, we invite participants to explore, through illustration using any technique, the many realities that emerge from this environmental crisis.


Short Story Contest

Rey Juan Carlos University Short Story Competition 2025, XIX edition, “STORIES OF A CHANGING WORLD”.

Climate change is not just a matter of data and scientific predictions; it is a reality that affects people, communities, and landscapes worldwide. In this 19th edition of the URJC Short Story Competition, we invite participants to write a story that, whether fictional or inspired by real events, addresses the many dimensions of this global crisis.

Climate change is transforming the world at an unprecedented rate. Its effects are evident in disappearing landscapes, extreme weather events, transforming cities, and everyday acts of adaptation or resistance. In this 19th edition of the URJC Photography Competition, we invite participants to capture, through their photographic eye, the impact of climate change on our environment.
