The Vice-Rectorate for Social Responsibility, Culture, and Sport, through its Cultural Service, annually promotes Cultural Promotion Competitions to foster artistic development within the university community and encourage creative activities. Each competition has a specific theme and is open to the entire Rey Juan Carlos University community: students, alumni, administrative and service staff, teaching and research staff, and research and development staff.
Three prizes are established: a first prize of €500; a second prize of €300; a third prize of €200;
Audiovisual Pieces Contest
Rey Juan Carlos University Audiovisual Pieces Competition 2025, 2nd edition, “From story to screen”.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, three stories were awarded prizes in the 18th edition of the Rey Juan Carlos University Short Story Competition, under the title "Non-Fiction Story." In this second edition of the URJC Audiovisual Competition, we invite participants to transform one of these stories into an audiovisual piece or to use it as a source of inspiration for their short film.
