Students who choose to take the Degree in Telematics Engineering will begin by studying the fundamentals of Information and Communication Technologies (fundamentals of computer networks, fundamentals of computers, communications systems, signal and data processing, electronics, electromagnetic propagation) , to later specialize in communication protocols in computer networks (with special emphasis on the Internet), design techniques, development and management of systems, services and network applications (and their application to Web technologies in particular and to the Internet in general ), as well as its integration with other telecommunications technologies. The design of this degree is based on the provisions of Order CIN/352/2009 (of February 9, BOE of February 20, 2009) and qualifies for the profession of Telecommunications Technical Engineer with a specialty in Telematics regulated in the CIN Order. /352/2009. The design of the degree adheres to the modules and skills described in said Order, so that students who complete this degree will be able to access the Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering (master's degree that qualifies for the exercise of the regulated profession of Telecommunications Engineer according to collected in Order CIN/355/2009).
Minimum stay requirements
- The permanence of the students in the Degree studies will be a maximum of eight years for full-time students. Part-time students may request an extension of up to two more years from the Rector.
- In Bachelor's degrees lasting more than 240 credits (4 years), the maximum of the previous section will be increased by one more year for every 60 ECTS credits that are added to the 240 ECTS.
- Students must pass a minimum of two subjects in the first year. Students studying part-time must pass at least one subject in their first academic year.
- Students who are studying any official Bachelor's degree at the Rey Juan Carlos University may make a maximum of four registrations to pass each of the subjects of the study plan, without counting previous cancellations of the same.
