Basic Information
Presentation
There is currently a great demand for training in the field of Sports Sciences, linked to the practice of sports professions. The development of scientific knowledge applied to football is increasingly relevant in the scientific field, due to the possibility of providing empirical knowledge to coaches, in the process of planning and optimizing training and competition.
This Course responds to the need to update the training of football coaches, with the appropriate knowledge and technical profile, in order to respond effectively to the current demands of the professional football sports system.
Objectives
The purpose of the Course is to train professionals in the knowledge and use of technological resources that are applied today in the world of football, either for the analysis and interpretation of the game at an individual and collective level, or for capturing, follow-up and improvement of soccer players.
Program
Module 1 – Tactical analysis in football
This module addresses the scientific foundations of football, from the Paradigm of Complexity, and its application to game analysis. The types of tactical analysis and the phases of the analysis process are explained. In a second part, the analysis of the specific football situations and the specific variables of each match (own team and rival, field players and goalkeeper) is proposed.
Contents:
- Basic fundamentals of game analysis.
- The collective analysis of the own team and the rival team.
- Field player analysis and goalkeeper analysis.
- Analysis of specific game situations.
Module 2 – Scouting in football
Module 2 focuses on the conceptual bases of scouting, as an observation procedure in football using audiovisual technology, in its different applications, match preparation, player recruitment or talent detection. In a second part, the functions of the analyst and the structure of a professional scouting department are studied.
Contents:
- The elaboration of technical reports and the preparation of the match.
- Scouting in player recruitment and talent detection.
- The Scouting Department within the Sports Directorate.
Module 3 - Technological resources applied to football
Module 3 studies the main observation instruments, and their technological development, in their audiovisual and computer aspects. In a second part, the study and practical application of the databases used by professional soccer teams is addressed.

- Soccer Coaches with Federative Diploma level I, II or III.
- Graduates / Graduates in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, with a football federation degree.

The start of the course is conditioned to the minimum number of students enrolled.

the applicants they will present all the scanned documentation, in the formats allowed through the telematic self-registration application at the time of applying for admission to own degrees. They must compulsorily attach to their request the declaration of the person responsible for the veracity of the data provided in digital format.

Required documentation:
Students with a degree obtained from a Spanish university or a Higher Education Institution belonging to another Member State of the European Higher Education Area that authorizes access to own postgraduate degrees must present the following documentation:
- National Identity Document or equivalent
- University degree of the studies that give access to the requested postgraduate degree.
- Curriculum vitae
- Responsible declaration of veracity of the data provided in digital format
- Any other document that the Director of the Own Title specifically requires for its acceptance
Students with a foreign degree must present the following documentation:
- Passport or Residence Card
- Foreign Higher Education Degree (Graduate, Graduate, Architect, Engineer Doctor...) that give access to own postgraduate degree studies.
- Certificate certifying that the studies carried out give access to an Official Postgraduate Degree in your country of origin, issued by the University of origin
- Curriculum vitae
- Declaration of the person responsible for the veracity of the data provided in digital format
- Any other document that the Director of the Own Title specifically requires for its acceptance
Applicants with studies completed in foreign University Centers may be requested at any time a certificate of verification of these studies and centers, issued by an authorized Institution.
All documentation provided must be legalized in accordance with Spanish law and translated by an official translator.
