Basic Information
What knowledge will I acquire with this Master?
The student will acquire transversal knowledge of different subjects related to the European Union and China. The objective of this Master is to offer a multifaceted and broad vision of current affairs that allows understanding the rapid transformations of society in a global and interconnected scenario. To understand the economy it is necessary to delve into the culture, and to understand it it is essential to carry out an analysis of the historical foundations. From the economy we pass to society from a legal perspective that allows us to acquire a broad vision as a whole.
It is therefore very current and dynamic knowledge always offered from the academic methodology and the scientific rigor of the University.
Is this degree official according to the regulations required by the European Higher Education Area?

Is it necessary to pass an access test?
As the verification report indicates, the student must pass a personal interview at the time of pre-registration that will have a maximum score of 30% of the total value. On the other hand, the academic record will be valued at 60%. Finally, professional experience will be valued at 10% of the total grade. In the event that the student cannot attend the personal interview due to justified cause such as residence in another country, this will be done by videoconference

Recommended income profile
Be in possession of an official Spanish university degree or another issued by a higher education institution of the European Higher Education Area that authorizes access to master's degrees in the country that issued the degree.
The entry profile recommended for this degree is:

The profile of the university candidates to carry out the European Union-China Master, in the distance modality, and thus obtain the official postgraduate degree, will respond to the following characteristics:
- Self-employed or employed workers, with some professional experience and interested in improving their qualifications or their chances of promotion in the academic field.
- People who, due to geographical reasons of distance from the face-to-face teaching centers or for reasons of a personal nature, have difficulties in following another type of teaching.
- Students from other universities or educational centers, willing to take a new distance education to complete the knowledge or qualifications in course of acquisition.
Objectives
It is recognized that the European Union is the most advanced in the experiences of integration processes in the world. As the Treaties were reformed, from 1957 to the present, the Community and then the European Union, have been receiving a greater number of powers and, consequently, have occupied an increasingly relevant space in the political, economic, and social life of the States that form it, building a legal and political system, of international recognition, a fact that has mobilized public attention.
In turn, China in recent decades has experienced an exponential growth of its economy. To a greater extent, pursuing prolonged internal growth and population rebalancing. Once this has been achieved, now China is turning abroad, and is in full development of its foreign political program known as "The new Silk Road". This will be one of the backbones of this master's degree, as it seeks to train adults and young people in the new role that China plays on the international stage.

Admission and enrollment
Admission:
The requirements for access to the proposed title are according to article 18, of Royal Decree 822/2021, of September 28:
- Possession of an official Spanish Graduate or Graduate university degree or equivalent is a condition for accessing a Master's Degree, or, where appropriate, having another University Master's degree, or titles of the same level as the Spanish Bachelor's or Master's degree issued by universities and higher education institutions in an EHEA country that in that country allow access to Master's degrees.
- In the same way, people in possession of titles from educational systems that are not part of the EHEA, which are equivalent to a Bachelor's degree, will be able to access a Master's Degree in the Spanish university system, without the need for homologation of the title, but verification by of the university of the level of training that they imply, as long as in the country where said title was issued it allows access to university postgraduate level studies. In no case will access through this route imply the homologation of the previous degree held by the person concerned or its recognition for other purposes than that of carrying out the Master's degree.
Recommended requirements:
- Once the admission application has been submitted with the documentation required in each case, and verified by the admissions service, the student is scheduled to conduct the interview in person or by videoconference. This must come with DNI or passport to prove her identity.
- The URJC and UDIMA have established a personal and/or telematic interview, where appropriate, evaluation of academic records that serve to assess the elements related to the academic and professional success of each student and to detect their specific training needs.
In the specific case of the University Master's Degree in the European Union and China, the entrance tests at both Universities will consist of a personal interview or by videoconference in Spanish, to check the level of the student's language and the academic record will also be assessed.
These entrance interviews have a guiding nature. They will serve to evaluate the elements related to the academic and professional success of the student who wishes to enroll, as well as their specific training needs and motivations to complete the Master's Degree. The Director of the Master will be in charge of carrying out the personal assessment of the academic record.
Selection of applicants:
The assessment criteria for the admission of students will be weighted as follows:
- Personal interview: 30-40%
- Academic record: 50-60%
- Professional experience: 10- 20%
Offer of places: 50 places. If the minimum number of students envisaged is not reached in a course, the University may choose not to open the teaching group.

Mobility programs
University Master's degrees, due to their duration and characteristics, in general do not specifically contemplate the mobility of their students. However, the Rey Juan Carlos University has different mobility programs for both students and University workers (PDI and PAS) and has procedures for collecting and analyzing information on these mobility programs. The management of all the mobility programs of the University is centralized in the Office of the Vice President for International Relations and any student of the University can participate in them.

Improvement actions
The Quality Assurance System of the Rey Juan Carlos University establishes that the degree's Quality Assurance Commission will annually analyze the information derived from the degree's indicators and prepare a report that will include improvement plans if the results so indicate.
Renewal of accreditation
The renewal of the accreditation represents the culmination of the implementation process of the official Bachelor's and Master's degrees registered in the Register of Universities, Centers and Degrees (RUCT). The renewal of the accreditation of official bachelor's and master's degrees is organized in three phases: self-assessment report, external visit and final assessment.
In the first phase, the university describes and assesses the status of the degree with respect to the established criteria and guidelines. The result is the Self-Assessment Report (IA) that is presented. The second and third phases are carried out by a group of evaluators external to the evaluated title.”
