Between 2 and the 9 of July has been done in the Fuenlabrada Campus el University Extension Course on Calcographic Engraving, organized by Professor Macarena Moreno (Drawing area) y Cristina Garre (Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts).
El target of the course was teach traditional engraving and printing techniques but used also by the great artists of the 20th centuryThey are also present in the origin of the book and even in the textile design and the graphic design. Furthermore, the eye Plans new technologies. It provides a new field of experimentation, Where traditional printing and stamping systems are finding new forms of expression.
For this reason, this course has been aimed at students of Fine Arts and Double Degrees with Fine Arts that I had experience en artistic engraving, to learn new printing techniques and processes. Between the invited speakers has participated in artist Manuel Mochales, which has presented a new original technique developed with additive media. Practices have also been carried out with the lost plate and soft varnish technique.
The results from this advanced artistic engraving course have been some series of graphic works in three different techniques. In addition, there have been monotypes y trapped for unique prints on different surfacesat specific papers for engraving to textileThe participating students have been able to deepen in their knowledge and creativity when engraving the dies and stamping.
