On Friday, April 10th, The Faculty of Arts and Humanities celebrated the JOpen Day at the Aranjuez Campus, En a coordinated action between Faculty and the Vice-Rectorate for Students, Employability and Entrepreneurship of the King Juan Carlos University, who welcomed more than 150 students and their families.
This day, with a schedule of 17.00 p.m. to 20.00 p.m., was dedicated to the arts degrees that are taken at the Aranjuez Campus: Degree in Art History and Cultural Heritage, Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Degree in Comprehensive Design and Image Management, Degree in Fashion Design and Management, and the double degrees corresponding.
In Part of the day, received to prospective students and their families in the auditorium of the Old Pavia Barracks building, where a presentation of the university by the Vice-Rector for Students, Employability and Entrepreneurship, Mr. Julio Ramiro BargueñoSubsequently, on behalf of the Faculty, gave the institutional welcome la Vice Dean of Campus, Infrastructure and Laboratories, Ms. Raquel Sardá Sánchez and Vice Dean of Coordination and Students, Ms. Cristina Victoria Herranz LlácerThis was followed by a complete presentation of the different degrees of arts by its coordinators: the Professor Ana Esther Santamaría Fernández about him Degree in Art History and Cultural Heritage, Professor Miguel Sánchez-Moñita Rodríguez at the Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, the teacher Ms. Amaya Matesanz Muñoz at the Degree in Comprehensive Design and Image Management and Professor Ms. Tamara Rocío Ruiz Calleja at the Degree in Fashion Design and Management. Pilar Serrano Herranz, coordinator of the Access, Guidance and Student Support Service at URJC, Together with Jorge Díaz Perona García, from the same service, were available to answer students' questions in terms of university admission processes and other logistical details of the URJC.
After the presentation, The attendees were divided into different groups all with visit the facilities where the different degrees are taught: the photography studio, media lab, the painting room, outdoor sculpture workshop, or the pattern making and sewing workshopamong others. Attendees were able to to know this firsthand the different spaces where they will be able to study starting next year, guided by professors from different degree programs. The Faculty also offered the possibility of visiting the temporary exhibition "The Body of Gaia" organized by teachers of arts of the Faculty, in the Exhibition Hall of the Old San Carlos Hospital Building, which was approached by numerous attendees of the conference.
In addition to the professors mentioned, others participated by giving support in the activities el Professor Pablo Prieto, Director of the Department of Arts and Humanities, the Academic Coordinator for Students and Information, Professor Susana Gámez González, the Faculty delegate, student Coral Verena Pérez González and the Professor Tomás ZarzaThe activity was organized by common effort of the Academic Coordinator of Planning for the Faculty, Professor Helena Domínguez del Triunfo, representing the Faculty, assisted at all times by the Guidance Service and the Manager of the Aranjuez Campus, Mr. Julián Morales and his team, Plus Aranjuez campus assistants.
