On Monday, April 13, was held on First meeting between professors and students “Beyond the classroom: the area of Ancient History at the Rey Juan Carlos University” in the Graduation Hall of the Departmental Building of Fuenlabrada Campus, between 10:00 and 13:00.
La and motivation The main factor in carrying out the day was the restlessness of some students on the area during the past semester, and the possibilities for collaboration that could be offered. Thus, the Main purpose was to publicize the lines of research of the area's components, as well as those Possibilities that they could provide to the students.
The specialties of the members of the area are very varied, covering fields such as the study of the exploitation of salt in ancient times, the management of the archeology, the study of the travel and the cultural tourism, historical graffiti in the Roman world, the amphora epigraphy, the study of the Persians, Greeks and "barbarians", the woman in ancient times or the study of Mycenaean worldamong others. Therefore, they need their own methodology, as was attempted to be conveyed to the attendees. Thus, the members of the area spoke not only in their specialtybut also about its Development, with the intention of making known its journey and contribute possible ideas for students who are still in the grade. They also presented their projects, past and present, both research and teaching innovation, its experience in fieldwork and at university, its international experience, lines of collaboration active with other entities, or annual that have been organized and can be organized for students of the degrees where they teach (History and double degrees, Tourism and double degrees, History of Art and Cultural Heritage, Master in International Tourism Management, University for Seniors), in order to transmit to them their passion y knowledge on matter.
