La Juanjo Torrejón Foundation It is distinguished by being a non-profit organization, which receives financing from various public and private entities and which operates in a non-partisan manner and without any religious connection. It emerged in 2006 and was formed with the intention of continuing the work carried out by Juanjo Torrejón, parish priest of the church of San Pascual (Aranjuez), for more than two decades. It is essential to highlight that, in the last years of his life, Juanjo Torrejón's attention focused particularly on the assistance to migrants who faced vulnerable situations. An approach that reflects the Foundation's ongoing commitment to the most needy sectors of society, establishing a legacy of solidarity y financial.

The active contribution of volunteers in the municipality, channeled through the Foundation, promotes well-being and strengthens ties in the community. Besides, Volunteering provides enormous opportunities for growth both personally and professionally.. Likewise, it must be highlighted that the purposes of the Foundation harmonize with the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, aimed at supporting both individuals and families so that they can confront social challenges associated with economic, educational and cultural factors. Today, the world is full of adversities, and not all people have the same opportunities to solve them. Therefore, the Volunteering becomes an essential tool to generate a positive impact in the lives of those who need it most. The Foundation channels this aid through different areas. Current needs cover different areas, within the area of Childhood, adolescence and family: classes are held school support for primary and secondary students and, in turn, promotes conciliation through different workshops. In the AReception and Integration Support Area are taught Spanish classes and are provided translation and accompaniment services. Additionally, in the Emergency Situation Support Area, service is carried out Social Food Service, in which the volunteers deliver food to people who need it. Also, the "Given Books Project” contributes to the adaptation and layout of the social libraryJuanjo

In these activities the volunteers play a fundamental role al facilitate integration and access to resources to people who are in vulnerable circumstances. For example, teaching Spanish is vital for communication and promotes inclusion. Regarding the activities developed for children, it gives them the opportunity to increase social skills such as communication and collaboration, which has a positive impact on their emotional and psychological development.

Likewise, the delivery of ready-made foods fulfills a nutritional purpose, but it is also a reminder for the people who receive them, since despite the adversities they are suffering, they continue to be valued and supported by their community. Without forgetting that the adaptation of the bookstore encourages learning, which leads to the expansion of knowledge, a fact that generates informed and committed citizens.

Moreover, the data extracted from the Foundation's report corresponding to the 2022 financial year, show that the The profile of those assisted is predominantly female, with a total of 417 women, contrast with the 265 men and the age range is, mainly, between the 31 and 50 years. Regarding nationality, a diverse representation is revealed: the Colombian community constitutes 26,03% of the total, followed by moroccana 21,26% and from Venezuela with a 9,82%. These data show the varied composition of the people served, underscoring the importance of addressing and understanding the different needs.
