With the participation of more than 90 students from the Degree in Fashion Design and Management, the Week aims to consolidate itself as a benchmark annual event to showcase talent outside the classroom.

La I Aranjuez Fashion Week had an outstanding start with the inauguration of a performative exhibition the last day 4 June at the Isabel de Farnese Cultural Center, en Aranjuez, a collaboration with the Town Hall of the town. Present at it were the Director of the Department of Arts and Humanities of the Faculty, Professor Pablo Prieto Dávila, la coordinator of the Degree in Fashion Design and Management, Professor Tamara Ruiz Lane y Mrs. María del Pilar Dávila López, Councilor for Education, Culture and University of Aranjuez. 

El target main feature of this event is encourage creative fashion design, un essential value promoted in the Degree in Fashion Design and Management. Based on the or services developed in the Subjects de “Collections” of the third course, this event aims to be a platform for the dissemination and exhibition of student projects. Through various actions, we seek not only show talent and innovation of the students, but also reflect How academic teachings are transformed into tangible creations that integrate , hairsalon y communication.

This thematic approach explored how language and fashion intertwine, using the words as a source of inspiration for design creation that they not only express aesthetic trendsBut also communicate posts y emotions (One relationship of the fashion films and its creators can be found at the end of this news).

The day 5 June was carried out viewing of fashion films directed and produced by students of the Degree, providing a cinematic platform for explore and reflect on contemporary trends and concepts in fashion. These allowed a understanding deeper than how words and visual languagel can combine to tell stories y present creative visions within the field of fashion.

Untitled Design 10El 6 June supposed a transcendental moment in the history of the Degree, since the students paraded with their creations inspired by the evocative power of words, where the creativity and the talent emerging, but also a turning point towards artistic expression and innovation in the world of fashion. The event featured two guests of honor, prominent figures in the fashion field: Pedro Mansilla, renowned journalist y fashion critic and a prominent figure in the full test and review by trends and the contemporary design and the acclaimed designer Leandro de Cano, known for its innovative approach and capacity to merging traditional elements with modern techniques in their collections.

This event highlighted a wide range of innovative creations, each of them reflecting students' unique interpretation of how language can influence and be represented in fashion design. The assistance of personalities as influential as Mansilla and Cano not only exalted the parade, but also gave the students the valuable opportunity to receive feedback from experienced professionals in the field of fashion.

Los creators and directors of the event have been the professors of the Fashion Degree area Carlos Valverde, Laura María González Villanueva, Esther Yance and Rita Cisnal, who have poured themselves into each detail of the event. There has also been the Collaboration with other teachers: la teacher Elena Villamarín and her students, responsible for the photography and video during the Week, the haute couture professor José Antonio Fernández and his students, pattern making teacher Alicia Eugenia Garcíawhose school they took care of the makeup and hairdressing, María del Carmen Bermejo, events teacher which, along with its school, was in charge of graphic design of the event.

ParadeI Jara RodriguezLa jewelry teacher Covadonga Ríos has participated with projects from her students, Raquel Abad, painting teacher, played a crucial role in the organization of the exhibition space, creating a visually striking atmosphere y Verónica García Bolos, project presentation teacher, ha managed meticulously the babysitting of the parade. Laura María González Villanueva, professor of collections, has been the main person in charge of supervise the preparation and curation of events with your teamWhile Carlos Valverde, drawing teacher, next to his TEAM, has played a fundamental role not only in the protocol, but also in the meticulous curator. Esther Yance, styling teacher, has carefully coordinated the styling and viewing de fashion films y, Rita Cisnal, professor of collections, has assumed the role of masterfully managing the parade. Margarita Díaz, technician at the design and fashion laboratory, it has been a fundamental figure at the development of each and every one of the events

All of them have Collaborated closely with student teams, nourishing la professional teaching y providing a valuable opportunity for experiments first hand processes in the textile industry with great dedication. Another essential collaboration has been that of the Hairdressing School The Hair MBA which was commissioned, with great business, from the hairstyle of the models for the parade. The exposure and the paradeIn addition, it has been sponsored by Bodegas Díez del Corral, giving a distinctive, sophisticated and celebratory touch to the activities, witness of the importance de integrate different forms of cultural expression. Finally, it is worth mentioning the invaluable support from the Aranjuez Campus Management and the Town Hall of the town, without whose collaboration It would not have been possible to organize this First Fashion Week.

This I Aranjuez Fashion Week aims to, So, consolidate as an annual reference event, following the example by main cities linked to the textile sector worldwide. Through a wide range of activities search create a solid platform where talent and creativity of the students could be appreciated y valued in all its magnitude. Additionally, the event highlights the artistic ability and innovation of our students, demonstrating how abstract concepts like “The Words” can materialize en tangible and visual expressions within the universe of fashion.
