On 14 June the Faculty of Arts and Humanities received the visit in the Aranjuez Campus of a group of 22 students and 3 professors of History and Art from the private American university Northeastern University (Boston, Massachusetts), considered one of the most prestigious of the East Coast of the United States.
This visit, coordinated by the Vice Dean of Academic Organization and Students, Mr. Félix Labrador Arroyo, was based on the interest of this group to know and delve into various aspects of the history, philosophy, , crop y literature de Spain and, especially, of its past from the medieval and modern times.
The group was received in the building of the Old Pavia Barracks by teachers Gonzalo Viñuales (Medieval History area) y Koldo Trápaga (Modern History area), who taught paths talks: Jews and moors in medieval Spain y The system of the Royal Sites (Reales Sitios) in the Region of Madrid: Political and Landscape shaping, respectively, creating a space for exchange and debate with visitors. Later, she accompanied them on a brief visit to the gardens and exterior of the Royal Palace of Aranjuez.
Thus, the Faculty bet more and more for this type of meetings between teachers and students not only from Europe (with the participación en programs and EULiST network) but also of other foreign universities, which will undoubtedly mean a long-term positive impact to pose exchanges y closer collaborations.
