The Faculty celebrates its first Career Opportunities Day for Humanities and Arts degrees

This is the first day of this nature organized entirely by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the fields of Fuenlabrada and Aranjuez

On April 24 la Faculty of Arts and Humanities held its first Career Opportunities Day across campus of Fuenlabrada y Aranjuez. The day of Fuenlabrada, around the Humanities degrees y organized awarded by the teacher Helena Dominguez del Triunfo (Ancient History area), Academic Coordinator of Pre-University Orientation and Information en representation of the Dean's Office of the Faculty, had two simultaneous sessions y four round tables who gathered fourteen invited specialists. The student Ana Martínez-Lozano Peñas (last course of the Degree in Image Design and Management), intern for support for the organization of academic events and communication of the Faculty, attended also in the coordination Plans sessions. For its part, the session held in Aranjuez, organized by the teachers of the Arts degrees, focused on the Arts degrees and had three specialists, graduates of the University

En Fuenlabrada, the day began with the welcome of the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs and Students of the Faculty, professor Felix Labrador Felix Labrador (Modern History area), name of the Faculty. This was followed by a interesting seminar-workshop of the SCHEDULE URJC Employment Exchange, taught by his responsible, Roberto Maderuelo GalindoWhere explained how to create a good resume y how to face a job interview. Also participating was the URJC Alumni OfficeWhere Naomi Calvo Matalobos he referred to the available resources and tools which offers the URJC for the men and women graduates.

The objective of the sessions was to provide students with a first contact with specialists  with  extensive experience in different fields, so much in , the fuera of the academic world, which provided a varied and broad vision on the different profiles professional options which graduates of our degrees can opt for. The speakers informed the audience about their own trajectory and perspectives, providing resources solutions to the possible ones challenges which they can face as graduates in Arts and Humanities.

As for the different proposals, in Humanities la table de "History" estuvo moderate by Professor Félix Labrador Arroyo (Modern History area), Vice Dean of Academic Affairs and Students of the Faculty. It was attended by Silvia Recuero Herreros, BA in History, professional diver y expert en underwater archaeology and cave diving, Sonia Ferreras Ruiz, technician in the dissemination area of Sephardic Museum of Toledo y Covadonga del Peso Vidal, archivist of the General Archive of the Royal Palace (National Heritage)). Its various perspectives gave the attendees a broad vision the career opportunities traditional attractive for graduates in History and Double Degrees with History

La table de Spanish Language and Literature la moderated la Professor and Vice Dean of Research and Library of the Faculty Elena Battaner Moro (area of ​​General Linguistics) and they integrated it Mercedes Pérez Serrano, professor at the UCM with experience in the "ELE world", David Felipe Arranz, professor at UC3M, former head of Communication at Fundación Telefónica and director of "The Bookmark" on Radio Intereconomía y Ana Romera Manzanares, professor at the UCM and with experience in editing and philological criticism

En Aranjuez, Professor and coordinator of the Degree in Fine Arts, Miguel Sanchez-Moñita (Drawing area) He presented to Yurato Miralles Kobayashi, Graduated in Fine Arts from the URJC, which has subsequently been carried out by the Master in Digital Illustration awarded by the ESDIP and First prize in the 3rd edition of the comic book contest “Cooperation DOES matter” of the NGO network de Madrid

El Director of the Department of Arts and Humanities of the Faculty y Professor of Drawing, Pablo Prieto Dávila He presented to Guzmán Fernández, Graduate in Comprehensive Design and Image Management awarded by the URJCADG-Laus award SILVER in the category "Laus Aporta"", which rewards work that contribute to the university through Design y First Prize ADG-Laus BRONZE in the "Digital" category. 

Finally, the Professor and coordinator of the Degree in Fashion Design and Management, Tamara Ruiz Calleja (area of ​​Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts) He presented to Cristina Salse Trenado, Graduated in Fashion Design and Management awarded by the URJC, BRAND in the creation and direction of trends, conceptualization y design of new collections to prototyping and manufacturing de of (Custom)
