The Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences hosted the meeting of the consortium of the project “Business Strategy and Innovation for Sustainable Growth (EIECS-CM)”, an inter-university initiative that brings together researchers from different Madrid universities with the aim of analyzing the role of business strategy in the transition towards more sustainable economic models.
The Principal Investigator of the project, Francisco Javier Forcadell (URJC), together with the coordinators of the various research groups and lines of work, presented the structure, objectives, and main lines of work of the consortium. The presentation highlighted the collaborative nature of the project, structured around different axes that address key issues such as innovation, sustainability, corporate governance, and the role of multinational corporations in sustainable economic development.
During the meeting, the importance of advancing the generation of impactful scientific results, as well as their effective dissemination within academia, society, and the business community, was emphasized. In this regard, the future development of a collaborative publication compiling the consortium's main contributions was proposed. This publication is envisioned as a tool for transferring useful knowledge to policymakers, managers, and other relevant stakeholders.
The meeting also served as a forum to propose new outreach initiatives, including participation in media outlets and digital formats such as podcasts, with the aim of expanding the project's reach and bringing its results closer to wider audiences.
Beyond the content presented, the event fostered exchange among researchers from different institutions and strengthened the consortium's internal coordination, underscoring the key role of research lines as drivers of scientific progress. In this regard, emphasis was placed on the need to strengthen the planning and monitoring of activities, as well as on generating synergies that will allow for collaborative progress toward the project's objectives.

This meeting is consolidated, as well as a relevant step in the development of the project EIECS-CM, reaffirming the consortium's commitment to research excellence and to promoting innovative business strategies geared towards sustainable growth.
