The teacher Dr. Maria Teresa Villace Molinero, from the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences of the Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC), has once again led the selection process for Tourism students to participate in the organization of FITUR, one of the most important international fairs in the tourism sector worldwide.
On this occasion, 15 students from the URJC were selected to be part of the organizing team of FITURTECHY 2025, the section dedicated to technology applied to the hotel sector, which was held from January 22 to 24. During the event, the students collaborated on the stand of the Hotel Technological Institute (ITH) and Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodations (CEHAT), putting their knowledge and skills into practice in a real and professional environment.
Under the title “The Thousand and One Voyages”, this edition of FITURTECHY stood out for its focus on innovation and technological trends that are transforming the hotel industry. The students were involved in the event's activities and interacted with professionals in the sector, which was an enriching experience for their academic training and future professional development. In addition, the students had the opportunity to talk and share opinions with the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Mr. Jordi Hereu,
This collaboration reflects the commitment of the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences of the URJC with practical training and the connection of its students with the work environment, consolidating its role as a reference in the preparation of future tourism professionals.
