The Rey Juan Carlos University has successfully held the third edition of the competition "Analysts in Action", an initiative that promotes talent and provides practical training for students in economic and financial analysis. More than 200 students participated in this event organized by professors from the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences on the Vicálvaro campus.

The Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) successfully held the third edition of the "Analysts in Action" competition, an event dedicated to the economic and financial analysis of companies organized by professors from the URJC's Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences. The competition took place on the Vicálvaro Campus and was attended by more than 200 students.

The event, organized by the Financial Economics and Accounting Department at URJC, allowed students to put their skills and competencies in the field of financial analysis to the test. Participants, grouped into teams of five, conducted and presented their comparative analyses of the economic and financial statements of different sectors of the economy. The aspects evaluated included solvency, profitability, financial structure, and dynamic and static analysis of the entities.

This event initially began as a teaching innovation project within the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences and has also been awarded by ASEPUC (Spanish Association of University Professors of Accounting) as the best educational innovation project in 2024. The Competition is led by our colleagues Alicia Ferradás González and Javier Rodríguez Barea as IP of both projects. In addition, the event was opened by Miguel Cuerdo Mir, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences at URJC.

The day took place in a collaborative learning environment, where both teachers and students appreciated the participation of each team. In addition to the competition, the event promoted gamification in the classroom and the development of individual and collective soft skills, preparing students for the final exam.

The contest winners were recognized for their excellent performance and contribution to financial analysis. Rey Juan Carlos University thanks all the participants and organizers for their dedication and enthusiasm and hopes to continue promoting these types of activities that enrich the academic and professional development of its students.
