Rey Juan Carlos University has received an institutional visit to its Vicálvaro campus from a delegation from the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, as part of its international initiative. “HACU on the Road. Destination: Higher Education Success”.

Madrid, July 8 of 2025 — Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) has received an institutional visit to its Vicálvaro campus from a delegation from the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), as part of its international initiative. “HACU on the Road. Destination: Higher Education Success”.

The HACU delegation included Dr. Oralia de los Reyes, Assistant Vice President of Programs and Services, and Pamela Garza, Executive Director of the Institute of Global Engagement, who were welcomed by Professor Ana Felícitas Muñoz Pérez, Vice-Rector of International Relations at the URJC, and Professor Antonio Serrano Acitores, Coordinator of Digitalization, Innovation and Communication at the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences.

During their visit, HACU representatives learned firsthand about the immersive artificial intelligence and LegalTech laboratory. AI-LEARN, a pioneering space in Europe, promoted by the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences of the URJC for training in emerging technologies applied to law.

The meeting allowed for the discussion of various avenues for collaboration between HACU and the URJC, highlighting the possibility of developing joint training programs for teachers and students, both in-person and online, with the goal of promoting educational innovation and the empowerment of Hispanic students internationally.

The day concluded with a session held in the Assembly Hall of the Departmental Building on the Vicálvaro campus, in which HACU representatives shared the organization's mission and its commitment to establishing partnerships with Spanish universities interested in promoting inclusion, diversity, and academic success for Hispanic students worldwide.

This visit reinforces the URJC's commitment to internationalization, innovation, and equity in higher education, opening up new opportunities for collaboration with one of the most influential university networks in the Americas.
