The presentation was directed by Professor Vicente Garrido Rebolledo, Vice Dean of Research and International Relations at the FCJP.

On Tuesday, May 27, the presentation of Strategy Notebook 229, entitled "Global Nuclear Panorama," took place at the CESEDEN (Higher Center for National Defense Studies) headquarters. The presentation was directed by Professor Vicente Garrido Rebolledo, Vice Dean of Research and International Relations at the FCJP.

The monograph assesses and delves into the changes that have transformed the international nuclear architecture in recent years, highlighting new power dynamics, the evolution of the major powers' nuclear strategies, and the current status of the international forums, treaties, and initiatives that are part of the nuclear non-proliferation regime. The event (attended by some 200 people, both in person and online) was chaired by Víctor Bados Nieto, General Director of the Spanish Institute for Strategic Studies (IEEE). Participating in the book presentation were Carlos Frías Sánchez (Director of the Army War and Leadership School), Professor Luis V. Pérez Gil (analyst at the IEEE), Manuel Herrera Almela (Senior Policy Fellow and Programme Manager at the British American Security Information Council in London), Lt. Navy officer Emilia Peña Ruiz (Defense Staff Operations Command), diplomat Carlos Aragón Gil de la Serna (Deputy Director of Non-Proliferation and Disarmament of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation) and Raquel Sanz Pascasio (Head of the Nuclear Issues Area of ​​the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation).

The presentation highlighted the relevance and timeliness of the issues addressed in the monograph, including the future of nuclear deterrence, new approaches to Russia's nuclear weapons capabilities and doctrine, the nuclear landscape in the Indo-Pacific, the antagonism between Iran and Israel in the nuclear context, and the crisis in multilateral nuclear forums and their future prospects.
