Basic Information
Presentation
The Master's Degree in Continuing Education in Diplomacy, International Relations, Security and Defense in collaboration with the International University Foundation of Madrid It will provide students with a solid professional foundation in international affairs, an understanding of global challenges, and a career path in international organizations and governments. All of this will develop a broad range of research and analysis in an increasingly globalized and conflict-ridden world.
Objectives
The educational objectives of the Master's Degree in Continuing Education in Diplomacy, International Relations, Security, and Defense are to specialize its students in the fields of diplomacy and international relations, with a special emphasis on matters related to security and defense. This master's degree also provides specialized and modern training in the analysis of international conflicts and their possible solutions.

Recipients
Access requirements:
- Previous University Degree.
- Conditionally, students enrolled in Bachelor's or Double Degree programs who have yet to complete a maximum of 30 ECTS credits from a university degree in Spain. In this case, no certification will be obtained until proof of holding the official university degree required for admission to postgraduate courses is obtained.
- Exceptionally, these professional studies may also be accessed by those without a previous official university degree that accredits work experience in this field. In this case, they may only opt for a diploma or a university extension certificate with the same name and number of credits as this Degree, in accordance with the equivalence table included in the Annex I of the Own Teaching Regulations of the Rey Juan Carlos University.
Selection criteria:
If demand for places exceeds supply, the following selection criteria will apply:
- Qualifications and professional experience in activities related to the subject matter of this degree. Any qualification will be considered in principle, but professional experience in embassies, consulates, the National Police, or other security and defense-related organizations such as Interpol (75%) is especially important.
- Qualifications and years of experience in activities related to the main purpose of this degree. Same as in the previous section (50%).

The Quality Assurance System of the Rey Juan Carlos University establishes that the degree's Quality Assurance Commission will annually analyze the information derived from the degree's indicators and prepare a report that will include improvement plans if the results so indicate.

Pre-registration: 500 €. This amount is included in the total cost of the course and will be returned if your academic request is not accepted. If, once the student's application has been admitted, the enrollment is not formalized, the amount deposited for pre-enrolment will not be returned.
The start of the course is subject to the minimum number (20) of enrolled students.

Students with a degree obtained from a Spanish university or a Higher Education Institution belonging to another Member State of the European Higher Education Area that provides access to continuing education courses must submit the following documentation:
- National Identity Document or equivalent
- University degree of the studies that give access to the requested postgraduate degree.
- Curriculum vitae
- Responsible declaration of veracity of the data provided in digital format
- Any other document required by the Academic Department of Continuing Education for acceptance.
Students with foreign qualifications must submit the following documentation:
- Passport or Residence Card
- Foreign Higher Education Degree (Graduate, Bachelor's Degree, Architect, Engineer, Doctor...) that gives access to continuing education studies.
- Curriculum vitae
- Responsible declaration of veracity of the data provided in digital format
- Any other document required by the Academic Department of Continuing Education for acceptance
