Basic Information
Presentation
Currently, there is a demand for training in the sports sector related to the management of football clubs, and specifically in the areas of sports management and technical secretariat. This need arises from the increasing professionalization of sports club structures, both at the high-performance level and at the training and technical development levels.
The Law on Sports Professions in the Community of Madrid has established the functions and competencies of technical directors, thereby defining the training framework necessary for their qualification.
In this context, this expert qualification, developed in collaboration with the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), addresses the need to train professionals in sports management with the knowledge and technical skills necessary to effectively meet the current demands of the professional football system. The RFEF's participation provides fundamental added value, as it is the leading institution in Spanish football and the guarantor of the sector's standards of quality, rigorous training, and methodological updates. Its involvement ensures an approach aligned with the real demands of professional practice, as well as the transfer of experience accumulated in the development of national and international football.
Objectives
The aim of this expert program is to train professionals in sports management within the football sector, with the goal of improving and strengthening the structures of football clubs and enhancing the professional and personal skills of their sports managers. Completing this program will enable students to acquire the fundamental skills of a sports director.

Access requirements: This training is aimed at students who hold a previous MECES level 3 qualification.
Students enrolled in a Bachelor's or Double Degree who have a maximum of 30 ECTS credits of an official university degree in Spain whose profile matches the functions legally provided for in the corresponding field will be able to access conditionally. In this case, no type of certification will be obtained until it is proven that one is in possession of the official university degree required for access to postgraduate education.
Exceptionally, those without a prior official university degree who can demonstrate work experience in this field may also be admitted to these professional studies. In this case, they may only be eligible for a diploma or certificate from a university extension course with the same name and number of credits as this qualification, in accordance with the equivalency table included in Annex I of the Regulations for Continuing Education at Rey Juan Carlos University.
Selection criteria:
In the event that the number of applications exceeds the number of places offered, a selection will be made based on the following objectively weighted criteria as stated:
