In an increasingly digitalized world, process automation has become a key element to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize productivity. The University Microcredential in Intelligent Process and Task Automation with Power Automate is designed to provide training in the use of Power Automate, one of the most powerful Microsoft 365 tools for the integration and automation of business tasks. 

Through a practical and applied approach, this program allows you to acquire knowledge to design, implement and optimize automated workflows, integrating different tools from the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, such as SharePoint, Outlook, Teams and Excel. With a duration of three months in virtual mode, the course offers flexibility and accessibility, combining live sessions with interactive materials and practical exercises. 

Developing skills in process automation facilitates improved productivity and work optimization in different professional environments. This microcredential responds to the growing demand for training in this field, offering an opportunity for specialization in automation and digital transformation technologies.

Objectives

  • Develop process automation skills: Learn to identify and design workflows that optimize processes and tasks using Power Automate, improving efficiency and reducing the need for repetitive tasks.
  • Integrate Power Automate with other Microsoft 365 tools: Master connecting Power Automate with apps like SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, and Excel to seamlessly manage and automate data transfer and communication across platforms.
  • Set up and customize automated workflows: Gain knowledge on creating and customizing automated workflows tailored to different organizational needs, including using templates and creating workflows from scratch.
  • Apply advanced capabilities for data-driven decision making: Learn how to integrate Power Automate with data management and analytics services to automate processes that add value to decision making.
  • Promote innovation and sustainability in business environments: Train students to implement solutions that improve sustainability in resource management, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the values ​​of social and environmental responsibility.

Module 1: Introduction to Power Automate and Automation Fundamentals

  • Power Automate and process automation basics.
  • Creating simple workflows and using templates.
  • Navigating the platform and understanding its essential components.

Module 2: Integration with Microsoft 365 Tools

  • Connect Power Automate to SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
  • Automation of communication and data transfer between applications.
  • Practical applications to improve operational efficiency.

Module 3: Creating and Customizing Advanced Flows

  • Design and customization of complex workflows.
  • Using custom conditions, loops, and connectors.
  • Introduction to Power Automate Desktop and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).

Module 4: Publishing, Monitoring and Optimizing Workflows

  • Publishing and sharing workflows in professional environments.
  • Strategies for continuous monitoring, adjustment and optimization.
  • Good practices for managing automated flows in collaborative teams.

This course is aimed at both those who want to get started in process automation and professionals who are looking to update and improve their skills in the use of business automation and productivity tools.

As a university microcredential, the program is characterized by its flexibility and accessibility, without requiring a previous MECES-level degree or other specific access requirements.

Selection criteria:

In the event that the number of applications exceeds the number of places available, candidates will be selected based on the following criteria, weighted objectively:

  • Industry experience – 25%: Years of experience, type of duties performed, and relevance of duties to the microcredential objectives will be taken into account.
  • Motivation and ability to professionally apply acquired knowledge – 75%

The curriculum vitae will be analyzed, considering aspects such as previous professional career, achievements, roles assumed that show interest in the field of the microcredential and any indication of practical application of the knowledge related to the program.

These courses allow for the certification of learning results linked to short-term training activities. Their duration must, in any case, be less than 15 ECTS credits. Successful completion of these courses through the corresponding assessment tests will entitle the student, where appropriate, to obtain a Certificate with the name of the respective course and will be included in the centralised Register of this type of qualification. In the event that they do not include assessment tests, a certificate of attendance will be obtained.
