The MCUII. Metagenomic Data Analysis (8 ECTS) aims to train analysts specialized in the processing, storage, and interpretation of metagenomic data, an emerging discipline with high demand in research, clinical microbiology, and personalized medicine. The course is offered online, with theoretical and practical classes, utilizing advanced bioinformatics tools and massive sequencing techniques.
Program
The title of expert in Analysis of Genomic and Metagenomic Data It has been configured into two microcredentials that can be taken independently. This curriculum describes microcredential I in Basic analysis of genomic data which is accessible to any student without any knowledge in bioinformatics, while the microcredential II in Metagenomic data analysis requires prior knowledge of Linux, programming and basic genomic analysis, or having completed Microcredential I.
The MCUII will be certified by a Digital credential in Europass (valid and recognizable throughout the EU). Initially, a paper certificate will also be issued.
