INFORMATION AND PROTOCOL FOR ACTION IN CASE OF A WORK ACCIDENT OF STUDENTS IN UNPAID INTERNSHIP

A "work accident" is defined, according to the art. 156 of the Consolidated Text of the General Social Security Law and applied to external internships, such as any bodily injury suffered by the student on the occasion or as a consequence of the internship carried out. Includes accidents that occurred ongoing, that is, those produced when going to or from the internship center. 

1. In the event of a work accident involving a student who is doing an unpaid internship, the affected student must go to a health center. FREMAP. You must bring your DNI, NIE or passport.

2. Likewise, you must complete the following documentation, which will be necessary to communicate the work accident to the entity and the University.

    •  Annex I – Part of accident: The accident report must be completed with all the indicated data and must be signed by the person responsible for the company or entity where the internship is carried out, by the academic tutor and by the injured student.
    •  Annex II – Responsible Declaration: It will only be filled in in the event of an accident ongoing and along with the accident report.
    •  Annex III – Communication of bank details: It will be required once the necessary procedures have been completed regarding the accident that occurred, and the accident report has been admitted.

The student must send Annex I - Accident Report to the External Practices Unit by email with the subject "Accident during practices - PFNR", and, in the case of an accident in itinere, also Annex II - Responsible Declaration, with the corresponding signatures. It is recommended to submit the documentation in PDF format and with an electronic signature.
