GRADUATION CEREMONIES 2026
INFORMATION ABOUT THE GRADUATION ACTIONS 2026
This year's 2026 graduation ceremonies will be held on the days June 1st and 2nd at the Raúl González Blanco Stadium, Located on the Fuenlabrada campus, with all the degrees (bachelors and double degrees) from the Fuenlabrada, Madrid-Vicálvaro and Madrid-Quintana campuses.
As a requirement ESSENTIAL To participate in the graduation ceremonies, it is necessary to be enrolled in ALL SUBJECTS of the degree, with the exception of External Practices, Modern Language, RAC and TFG (in which you may or may not be enrolled), and to ADHERE TO THE REGISTRATION DEADLINES that are established.
In order to participate in the Graduation Ceremonies, students must register to reserve a place using the following form: Registration form for FCCOM Graduation Ceremonies 2026.
The registration period begins on February 19 and ends the March 20 of this year. Full information on the organization and development will be published on the FCCOM website once the registration period has ended (www.urjc.es/fccom).

GRADUATION ACTIONS 2025/26 ACADEMIC YEAR
They will be held on June 1 and 2, 2026 at the Raúl González Blanco Sports Centre located on the campus of Fuenlabrada.
- June 1nd Graduations:
- Journalism, Double Degree in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication and Journalism (blended learning) – 5:00 p.m.
- Advertising and Public Relations, Double Degree in Advertising and Public Relations and Business Administration, Double Degree in Advertising and Public Relations and Marketing and Advertising and Public Relations (blended learning) – 7:30 p.m.
- June 2nd Graduations:
- Protocol, Event Organization and Corporate Communication (Spanish and English) – 5:00 p.m.
- Audiovisual Communication, Double Degree in Audiovisual Communication and Business Administration and Management – 7:00 p.m.
A production lab at the Faculty of Communication (FCCOM) will be taking photos and videos during the graduation ceremonies on a voluntary basis so that students can have a free memento of this special day. The materials will be produced by both students and the supervising professor and will be shared with the graduates via the email address (URJC) provided during the registration process. The lab is currently working on several projects, so we appreciate their collaboration and ask for the students' patience in receiving the materials.

OPEN DOOR DAY
The Faculty of Communication celebrates the Friday, April 24, 2026, from 17:00 PM to 20:00 PM hours for their Open Day. Meeting point at 17:00 PM: Aula Magna 007 of Building I on the Fuenlabrada Campus.
Secondary and Baccalaureate students, their families and teachers are invited to learn about the degrees that can be taken at the Faculty of Communication Sciences (FCCOM) of the URJC (https://www.urjc.es/titulaciones-fccom)
Students and their families will be able to visit the magnificent teaching laboratories of the Faculty of Communication Sciences and talk with coordinators, professors and students of the FCCOM.

ATIC AWARDS TFM AND THESIS
The call for entries for the VII ATIC Awards for the best Doctoral Theses and Master's Theses in Communication Research is now open.
The Spanish Association of Universities with Degrees in Information and Communication —ATIC— announces the VII ATIC Awards to recognize research excellence in the areas of Journalism, Audiovisual Communication and Advertising.
The call for applications includes two categories:

Best Doctoral Theses in Communication.

Best Master's Theses in Communication Research.
Defended doctoral theses and qualified master's theses between [dates missing] may be submitted September 15, 2024 and September 14, 2025 in universities associated with ATIC.
The theses must have received a grade of Outstanding Cum Laude by unanimous voteThe final master's theses must come from official master's programs and have a minimum grade of Outstanding —9—.
The application period will be open from June 1 to September 4, 2026.
The prizes include cash awards of up to 1.000 Euros in the category of doctoral theses and up 500 Euros in the category of final master's theses, in addition to accreditation diplomas.
The jury's verdict will be announced before November 30th 2026 and the awards ceremony will take place at an event organized by ATIC during the months of January or February 2027.
