A delegation from the University of Eastern Finland visits the URJC

As part of the Erasmus+ program, representatives from the University of Eastern Finland visited the URJC's Fuenlabrada campus on Thursday, September 25.

The event served as an opportunity for directors and students of the university's senior center to learn about the URJC's program for people aged 50 and over who want to acquire new knowledge.

For the director of the School for Seniors and professor of History at the URJC, José Manuel Azcona, "it was a very positive meeting due to the exchange between the management teams and between some of our students and theirs."

Although the programs are aimed at the same type of students, the University of Eastern Finland's senior university operates more through seminars. Furthermore, Azcona adds, "it is more focused on volunteering."

The visit reinforces the commitment of this program and the URJC to internationalization, student mobility, and the development of joint projects that enrich university education in Europe. Specifically, ties were strengthened with the possibility of implementing a joint program between the Rey Juan Carlos University and the University of Eastern Finland.
