For the first time, this event, funded by the Faculty of Education and Sports Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies, is being held for Audiovisual Communication (CAU) students at the UJRC.

Ginés Miñano

This event, which will take place today, Tuesday, October 21st, at 09:30 a.m. on the Fuenlabrada Campus, is organized by Carolina Herranz Rubio and Sara Fernández Gómiz, both Spanish language professors.

All students attending these sessions will be able to enjoy presentations by audiovisual professionals who will explain the vital importance of proper language use in their daily work.

Fernández Gómiz explains in more detail: "These sessions are primarily aimed at CAU students; the main objective is to connect the Spanish language with the audiovisual world and its students."

What's unique about this conference, based on language and communication, is that it features speakers with extensive experience in the audiovisual sector. Professor Fernández points out, "The purpose of this conference is to impress upon students the vital importance of a good command of the Spanish language for their future careers. To achieve this goal, we have featured speakers who are benchmarks in the field: Rafael Linares, a professor at the URJC and a producer; Jorge Alonso, a producer, screenwriter, and director; and Álvaro Reina, a voice actor and broadcaster."

The sessions are organized into three sections, in which each guest will give a talk detailing their experience in the workforce from their early days to the present, mentioning how the Spanish language has been linked to their careers.
