The Madrid Bar Association (ICAM) hosted a conference entitled "Current Issues in EU Law Practice: New Horizons." The event was organized in conjunction with the Madrid Young Lawyers Association (AJA) and with the participation of the Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC).

The event, held last week, brought together leading experts to analyze the trends and challenges of European Union law. The session, held in the ICAM Auditorium, featured presentations by Castor Díaz Barrado, Professor of International Law and International Relations at URJC; Miguel Muñoz Pérez, partner at Cuatrecasas and a former State Attorney; and Enrique Ferrer Poggio, Senior Associate at A&O Shearman.

The debate was moderated by two members of the URJC university community. Gabriel Martín, a professor of European Union Law, led the discussion, “providing an updated academic perspective on EU regulations, key to understanding the 'new horizons' that define current EU law practice,” as the professor himself explains.

Alongside him, Pablo Casillas Vázquez, 'Tax Senior Manager' at PwC-PricewaterhouseCoopers Tax&Legal and a doctoral student, also moderated, complementing the debate with a specialized vision in the tax and legal field.

The event, which was very well attended, underscores the commitment of the URJC, together with the ICAM and AJA, to continuing education and the analysis of the most dynamic areas of Law, offering a space for networking and high-level debate on the legal future in the European context.
