The URJC Open Data Reuse Observatory is promoting a seminar in collaboration with the Madrid City Council open data portal with the aim of finding innovative proposals for the use of open data for the preparation of final degree projects, final master projects and doctoral theses that generate value.
On April 15th, Enrique Crespo Diaz-Alejo, technical advisor to the General Directorate of Transparency and Quality of the Madrid City Council, will lead a seminar in the Auditorium of the Madrid-Vicálvaro Campus of the URJC (King Juan Carlos University). This event will introduce the Madrid City Council's open data portal and provide participants with the opportunity to learn how to develop skills in innovation, creativity, and value creation using data.
This presentation offers an opportunity to connect with professionals from the Madrid City Council's open data portal. Undergraduate, Master's, and doctoral students can participate in a forum that connects university talent with real-world business innovation challenges, featuring examples of projects that have reused data and created economic, social, and environmental value.
In addition, the municipal government has launched a public call for applications, the 'Second edition of the Madrid City Council's awards for the reuse of open data'; which awards a specific prize for students with attractive financial incentives.
