The URJC, through the Chair of Intelligence Services and Democratic Systems, is organizing the '1st Congress on Intelligence, Security and Diplomacy' on Monday and Tuesday of next week (April 20 and 21), which will take place at the Madrid-Quintana headquarters in the city center.

The congress brings together an exceptional group of experts, including figures such as Félix Sanz, former director of the National Intelligence Center (CNI), Oskar de Santos, Chief Superintendent of Police of Madrid, Manuel Navarrete, Lieutenant General of the Civil Guard and former director of the Intelligence Center against Terrorism and Organized Crime (CITCO), and Ángel Losada, former Spanish ambassador to Iran, as well as members of companies related to the intelligence and defense sectors.

The event will serve to analyze aspects such as Public Security in Spain, or the functioning of intelligence systems, among others.

The opening ceremony will be led by Fernando del Villar, dean of the Faculty of Education and Sports Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies (FCEDEI) and Fernando Velasco, director of the Chair of Intelligence Services and Democratic Systems and coordinator of the degree in Intelligence, Security and Diplomacy.
