Rey Juan Carlos University will hold its Summer Courses from June 29 to July 3, marking their twenty-seventh edition this year. The academic offerings have grown significantly, increasing from 33 to 51 courses, an increase of eighteen programs compared to last year.
The Royal Site of Aranjuez has established itself as the main venue for the Summer Courses, hosting the largest number of activities. However, the Fuenlabrada, Alcorcón, and Madrid campuses will also have their own programs, thus strengthening the university's presence throughout the region and facilitating access to its educational offerings from different parts of the area.
This year's program is characterized by a strong interdisciplinary focus. Areas such as technology and artificial intelligence, sustainability, health and well-being, geopolitics and security, as well as culture, heritage, design, and artistic creation, take center stage. In addition, courses related to communication, journalism, history, and contemporary social challenges are included, reflecting the most relevant current debates.
Alongside the academic courses, this edition incorporates practical and innovative workshops focused on areas such as immersive technologies, performing arts, artistic bookbinding, regenerative gastronomy, new materials applied to sculpture, and the design of urban furniture with a social dimension. These offerings reinforce the applied aspect of the courses and foster creativity and knowledge transfer.
The courses held at the Royal Site of Aranjuez will also feature a complementary cultural program, including concerts, theatrical tours, tourist train rides, and visits to the Royal Palace and its gardens. The 27th edition of the Summer Courses is supported by various public and private companies and institutions as sponsors.
