The Faculty of Health Sciences provides advanced materials for clinical teaching

The Rey Juan Carlos University, through an agreement with the Community of Madrid, has provided the Alcorcón, Fuenlabrada, Móstoles and Rey Juan Carlos Foundation hospitals with equipment for the training of healthcare professionals, strengthening their collaboration in teaching matters.

Thanks to an initiative by the Faculty of Health Sciences and the managers of the health centers, equipment for practical learning has been delivered, such as high-resolution ultrasound scanners, advanced simulators for childbirth training, and simulators for ultrasound-guided lumbar puncture and epidural procedures.

This agreement aims to promote teaching, patient care, and research in hospitals. Thanks to the provision of state-of-the-art technological infrastructure, students will be able to enhance their learning in a top-tier professional environment.

To ensure the maximum use of these resources, the supplying companies will provide specific training in the hospitals' simulation laboratories. Furthermore, a joint monitoring committee has been established, comprised of the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Carlos Goicoechea, and representatives from the institutions' management, which will oversee the annual fulfillment of the teaching objectives and the proper maintenance of the equipment.

With this initiative, URJC reaffirms its commitment to the hospitals linked to its teaching, ensuring that its students have the best tools to become the health professionals of the future.
