The URJC organizes a conference to publicize its energy management system

This session has been aimed at teachers and administration and services staff to raise awareness about good energy practices and saving measures.

The training session 'The URJC Energy Management System' has been organized by the Energy Efficiency Unit (UNEFE), whose purpose is to improve the university's energy performance.

During the conference, given by D. Javier Orellana Sanz, technical manager of the UNEFE, the objectives achieved were presented, as well as the projects in development. One of the most significant projects is the Smart Campus Project where the effect of light on student performance is studied. Likewise, the great economic savings that a rational use of energy and its progressive introduction in the different URJC campuses represent have been highlighted.

Through this initiative, the possibilities that UNEFE offers from the “Intelligent Energy” Campus of International Excellence to enhance the academic development of students through internships, tutorials and their possible effect on the recognition of degrees have also been made known.
