URJCx, finalist in the XVII Internet Awards with the MOOC 'Intelligent energy for a sustainable future'

El MOOC “Intelligent energy for a sustainable future” has been selected as a finalist in the Entrepreneurship and Research Category – Clean Energies, in the XVII edition of the Internet Awards, which aim to recognize those initiatives, people and organizations that have stood out the most during the year prior to their delivery, in the proper use of the Internet and new Technologies.

The MOOC (open, online and free course) has been developed by the Center for Innovation in Digital Education: urjc online, as well as the Smart Energy Campus (Bioenergy & Smart Cities) and takes place in URJCx, the Open Knowledge portal of the Rey Juan Carlos University

URJCx It is an initiative that, from the public university, aims to offer quality training, open, and available to anyone, anywhere and at any time.

The MOOC has interactive materials and high-quality videos, and proposes solutions that help meet the energy challenges of the future. Also, it offers knowledge about the main renewable energies (solar, wind, hydraulic, etc.) and applications in the home environment that can help develop energy efficiency, and thus contribute to economic savings and improve the environment.

The announcement of the winners of this edition will take place on May 11, at the Internet Awards Gala 2017, which will be held in the Espacio Fundación Telefónica.
