Basic Information

Home

Today, certifications in the use of specific technology are gaining importance in the different related companies. That is why it is not necessary to stop training in reference technologies to prove to be a recognized professional in the sector. Cisco imparts the most recognized network certifications in the sector, allowing through the Cisco Networking Academy, learn the latest network, security and cloud technologies. Specifically, this course will delve into the basic aspects of switching and routing, as well as different network services and their maintenance.

Objectives

The main objective of the course is to train students in the fundamentals of computer networks. For this, the syllabus and material proposed by Cisco for the CCNA v7 certification in its modules 1, 2 and 3 will be followed. Students will have access to the Cisco Networking Academy, and all its materials, in addition to the classes of this course. In this way they will be prepared for the CCNA v7 certification (CCNA 200-301 exam). This certification exam is not included in the price of the course. However, as the ETSII belongs to the Cisco Networking Academy program, if the student obtains a grade above 70% in the final exam of the course, they will obtain a discount for taking the 200-301 CCNA certification exam.

Program

Module 1 – Introduction to Networks (ITN)

In this first module, the theoretical foundations of the course are laid, presenting the architecture, functions, components and models of the Internet and the structure of computer networks. The principles of IP addressing and the fundamental concepts of Ethernet will be seen.

Module 2 – Fundamentals of Switching, Routing and Wireless Communications (SRWE)

The objective of this module is to show how they work and learn how to configure the routers and switches in a small wired or wireless network. Fundamentals of VLANs, routing and security protocols, and network device management will be covered.

Module 3 – Enterprise Networks, Security and Automation (ENSA)

In this last module, you will learn to implement more complex networks, seeing the device selection criteria, QoS implementation, secure communication through VPN and the structure and programming of SDN networks. It will work with scalable routing protocols, managing access to the public WAN and implementing security policies in the network.
