For gender equality in health

The Rey Juan Carlos University participates in the organization of the 'I Congress Women in, by and for health' to be held on March 3 at the Official College of Dentists and Stomatologists of Madrid. Coinciding with International Women's Day, the event will address gender inequality in the field of health.

Physiotherapists, dentists and pharmacists from the capital of Madrid have an appointment next Saturday, March 3, at the Official College of Dentists and Stomatologists. Under the slogan 'Together, for equality', a debate will be held on the legislative challenges of equality and the professional challenges of health companies will be addressed.

The purpose of the conference is to expose the difficulties that women encounter, in general, to access a management position or how they reconcile work and family life. At the same time they will provide the necessary keys in the care of patients, the management of pain and suffering.

The presentation of the day will be carried out by the journalist and writer Marta Robles. Among the participants, the following stand out: the director of the National Institute of Toxicology and Forensic Sciences, Mª Dolores Moreno; Ana Isabel Álvarez, psychologist from the Spanish Action Against Cancer (AECC); Teresa Perales, Paralympic athlete; Virginia Urcelay, specialist in pelvic floor and pregnancy; and María Pazos, head of Research Studies at the Institute of Fiscal Studies.

The 'I Congress Women in, by and for health' has the collaboration of four Madrid universities: the Rey Juan Carlos University, the CEU-San Pablo, the European University of Madrid and the Alfonso X El Sabio University.

Until today, Monday, February 26, the registration period for the activity is open for 20 euros in the official website from college. However, for a higher price, it can also be formalized after this date.
