The conferences will take place in room 167 of the Departmental Building of the Madrid campus, located in Vicálvaro. The conference 'Gender violence and its impact on female labor activity' will start at 9:30 a.m. and end at 14:25 p.m. on September XNUMX, with five conferences that will deal with problems faced in the world of work by victims of gender-based violence against women.

The objective of these conferences is to focus on the consequences of gender violence for the professional lives of women. Gender-based violence is a problem of such magnitude that it has come to be considered a pandemic. Its effects have been analyzed on numerous occasions from different fields, such as health, legal, preventive or social care, as well as its consequences on the physical and mental health of the victims. One of the least analyzed effects of gender violence is its impact on the labor activity of the victims.

The event will be opened by its director, Isabel Cepeda, together with Rogelio Fernández Delgado, professor of History of Economic Thought at URJC and vice-dean of students. After the opening ceremony, Rosa San Segundo Manuel, professor at the Carlos III University, will participate in this order in the event, who will speak about the 'Importance and implications of work activity for victims of Gender Violence'. Later, it will be the turn of Alfonso Alba Ramírez, professor of Labor Economics at Carlos III. His conference will deal with the 'Estimation of the impact of gender violence in the Spanish labor market'.

The last intervention before the break will be for Mónica Guardado Rodríguez, partner and general director of the School of Finance of International Financial Analysts (AFI). Her talk will explain the 'Difficulties encountered by victims of gender violence to stay in the labor market. Best practices in companies'.

After the mid-morning break, it will be the turn of Marián Mur, a member of the Central Independent Trade Union and Civil Servants, who will explain the 'Reforms necessary so that victims of gender violence are not excluded from the labor market'. The day will close with the intervention of María Palma Álvarez Pozo, professor of Criminal Law at the URJC, with her presentation on the need to reform the Comprehensive Law on Gender Violence.
