Newsroom

Everything seems to indicate that the COVID-19 epidemic will be overcome and globalization will continue to increase exchanges between countries and continents, although surely with adaptations in the forms of relationship and communication, as stated in the Master's Degree in Intercultural and Business Communication between China and Europe, which is entering its fifth year of teaching.

This master's degree, which prepares its students to participate professionally in the aforementioned exchanges, adapts its teaching to the new demands and deepens relations with China and other Asian countries. Subjects such as "Intercultural communication and mutual perception between East and West", "Institutional and commercial relations between China and Europe in the perspective of the XNUMXst century", "Relations between China and Spain in the XNUMXst century" or "Chinese companies and institutions in networks social”, have a clear practical and applied orientation towards these exchanges, while in others the foundations of international relations in the XNUMXst century are laid: “Business and organizational communication strategies”, “Social and cultural geography in globalization” or “International Institutions: operation and current practices”.

Equally interesting are the disciplines that favor the knowledge and interculturality of Spanish students with those from other countries, the deepening of theories and research practice, such as "Intercultural journalism in the XNUMXst century", "Research methods in intercultural communication ”, “Current Information and Communication Theories”, “Current Economic and Business Development”, “New Business Sociology”, “Business Ethics and Modern Institutions”, and “Research in Social and Cultural Anthropology”.

All subjects are taught by PhD professors from different departments and specialties (Communication, Sociology, Journalism, Economics and Business, International Relations...) and by prestigious professional external professors in these fields.

Internships oriented to labor insertion

To carry out external internships, there is the usual collaboration of a large number of companies that work in relations and exchanges with Asian countries, facilitating access to the world of work and being very satisfactory for students, as reflected in their corresponding reports. and reports. The Master also maintains a close relationship with the Chinese Chair, the Ministry of Education of the Chinese Embassy and the Chinese Office of the Rey Juan Carlos University.

The directors of the Master in Intercultural and Business Communication between China and Europe, Maximiliano Fernández Fernández and Eduardo Díaz Cano, professors of the Department of Communication and Sociology, underline: "The functionality of the master to participate professionally in these exchanges, the benefits of interculturality and the effort made by teachers to bring together two different scientific cultures, which translate into quite satisfactory results. The TFM -they conclude-, which at first are difficult for students because they are applied research, are a good example of the results achieved with the dedication of the teachers and the effort of the students. We are very clear that this is a commitment to the future and the present because globalization will not go backwards and the potential of China and the Asian countries will be a great source of employment”.
