The URJC wins the first prize of an international GameJam

YellowFall Games wins the first prize of an international contest with more than 200 participants

A team of students from the Video Game Design and Development degree at URJC in Ferraz won first place in the Sonicworkflow's Valentine's Day Jam. The contestants had to create a video game in a period of three days with a theme related to the work "The Creation of Adam" by Michelangelo.

The members of YellowFall Games created The Sticky Plan, a fun game about some thugs guided by a mastermind who wants to stick a piece of gum on the famous work of Michelangelo. The proposal earned them the award for best game and gameplay, plus a cash price of $750. The contest was sponsored by various video game companies and the judges were famous streamers and university professors.

A history full of successes

Yellow Fall Games It is made up of Manuel Mantecón, Roberto García, Jacques David Meyns, José Ignacio Pintado and Sofía de Vega, all third-year students at URJC. In addition, they have two members from other related careers, Roberto Paredes and Tancla, graduates in digital animation and audiovisual communication.

The first experience of this team was at the Game JamOn in early 2020 where they created the game "Rip it Claudio!", with which they won the award for best elevator pitch and the second prize in game mechanics.
